Her friend tries to save her, "If only she could see what I can see, she's get out of this one, she'd get out of here." and "She takes a moment to stumble to her feet, if only I was there to hold her hand." But she won't accept her friend's help, constantly denying that her boyfriend was mistreating her, "What burns the most is that you lied right to my face, and I still hold your hand to set you free." He just wants her to be safe, still acknowledging the fact that she's bringing this on herself by staying with her boyfriend.
