Sep 12th 2011!⃝A "Dirty Bit" is a computer/technology term used to describe a bit in a memory cache or virtual memory page that has been modified by the CPU, but not yet written back to storage.
This is a remix (I've Had) The Time of My Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes for the film Dirty Dancing. When they say "dirty bit" it's when they break free from the original song chorus and start remixing it... Here, the dirty bit is just introducing the original remixed section of the song. This directly parallels the computer term, as they've begun to "re-write" the song before it has had time to complete or been "written back to storage". That's also why, during the song, there's a skipping of the lyrics and beat, as if mid-stride the song was being modified. That modification is the Dirty Bit that will finally be re-written to the song making a new and complete rendition.
