It's simple, but very deep all at once. I found the song in myself relating to a woman I could never let go of.

Closure is that final conversation where you can finally move on with your life and clear everything up with someone in particular. At the same time, the song reveals that as hard as you try to move on, you can never let go of someone in the end.

The song, in this case separates the idea into three parts: the Pain, the Pride, and the Truth.

-He feels the woman he is in love with will never feel the same, so in the first verse he will (attempt to) let go of the pain by telling her to accept the real him hopefully.
-With that failing, he tells himself in the chorus that she is no good for him so he feels better about himself.
-The pride is her pride; in his efforts to get even with her, he wants her to remember him while he lets go of her. It supposedly helps his self esteem. I wrote a love letter the last time I've gotten hung up on someone. I wanted her to feel bad for leading me on and from the closure we had.
-The final verse and the rise in anger is the truth. The truth lies inside and that the "faulty closure" is that it didn't go the way it was planned. He is still hung up on her, she cares less about him and he still feels pain (the ending) and she still feels too good for him. The final chorus he still tells himself that she is not for him, but the sudden glass breaking and screaming is his anger for the truth that has spawned!

In my experience, after the love letters, she thanked me... with the letter I gave her a copy of a chevelle album and a trapt album because specific songs from there reminded me of her. She claimed no one has done anything for her like I did... Anyways, she voluntary out of nowhere said we should talk more often, and once again put me through the same cycle of false hope. I tried talking to her a few times after, Nothing... This cycle lasted two years and even after closure, it never worked out as intended. It really hurts in the end and like the final break in the song I do want to shout in anger.
