I am a musician and Love and Respect ALL MUSIC. I have been a ZepHed my entire life. My opinion is that Foo is the modern day Led Zeppelin. Not that their music is so similar, but that what it really means to me personally. I can listen to Foo and get lost in the music just like I always did with Zep. Every few years I know I can count on the Foo to bring it, and they always do.
I think that it is awesome for a site like this to enable fans and critics to voice their opinons about specific works of a multitude of artists.
I believe that Foo had meant to leave the interpretation up to the listener as to how the lyrics and groove affected them at that point in time of them listening to the music. It is powerful enough music to do just that.
DOA: I was with a girl and things got really hot n heavy with us after she had a 3 year relatonship with another guy. After a short 3 month love affair with her, she got back with her boyfriend and I never saw her again. I felt that it was a mistake for her to do that and DOA was the perfect song at the perfect time for me.
"It's a shame we have to die my dear, no ones getting out of here alive"
Meaning: Neither one of us will be happy or "alive".
I really believe that the beauty of this song, as well as all FOO is that it IS TOTALLY OPEN FOR INTERPRETATION!!!!
