The boy is taking about what a beautiful time Christmaas is and all the wonderful traditions and things happening on Christmas and he knows he should be at home doing them with his family, but he knows he'll be under the mistletoe with his girlfirend.
So sweet!
The song includes all the different parts of Christmas. The relegious side; 'Wise men followed the star...', and the mythical side; 'Word on the street Santa's coming tonight, raindeers flying through th sky so high...'. It's is a clever and beautiful somng and whoever wrote it is a genius. -Julia R Twamley
