May 24th 2017!⃝I very clearly interprate this song as about a person's beliefs, the foundation for their world, being thrown radically into question. They struggle for clarity as they question if all they've known, as the song says, is just smoke and mirrors. They want to believe, but they also need the truth, asking the "heartbreaker, dream-maker"; who has the answers, to open up their mind. This idea of beliefs shattering and questioning one's world seems like a common theme in this album, most notably in "Dream"
