Sep 3rd 2022!⃝High School Sweethearts is quite clearly set out. Crybaby has certain standards if you want to be her lover. Other girls should not have her lover control her and have rules to an extent to respect them. Crybaby's standards were:
1. To accept her for who she is and her craziness
2. To have a faithful, loyal, loving relationship till the very end (death).
3. Encourage her, respect her passion, don't make fun of what she loves.
4. You can't be embarrassed about their relationship, you have to stay loving and caring outside, in front of others.
5. If you're expecting to do absolutely nothing and for her to give all the love and do everything and you won't work, no point going into a relationship with her.
6. If you cheat, you messed with the wrong girl.
7. If you can't handle her and her way of showing love, don't waste her and your time.
The song's not saying to have these specific standards, but to not let others take control and walk all over you in a relationship, you should have a say.
I didn't know what Step 4 and Step 7 meant.
