Feb 18th 2020!⃝I agree with the affair interpretation. In fact, this song describes my affair perfectly.

We fear getting caught and yet we continue. We know it's selfish and yet it's been worth it. We know it will end at some point but for now we keep coming back to each other.

If our love is tragedy, why are you my remedy?
If our love's insanity, why are you my clarity?"
We both feel more fulfilled and content with life being together and yet, because it's an affair, we know it's wrong (i.e., a tragedy/insanity) and we wish we didn't need each other to be happy.

I have tried to leave and end it many times even though neither of us wants to end it (i.e., we know we will choose to stay together). He's plead for me to stay and each time I've fallen back to him and we end up staying together.
