Life's Final Act! This song has such monumental meaning when I think about the lives and passing of four special people that I was so blessed and fortunate to have crossed paths with; Kathy Ann Barefoot and my precious niece - Nikki (they were so darn young); Stephen Frost (my best and only friend) and Staff Sergeant Liam Flynn, my son-in-law and a valiant US Marine who gave his all. It is so easy for me to get so totally lost in this song. The song draws me into an obscure and far away place where I sometimes tearfully seek but can never seem to find the answers I‘m so desperately searching for - perhaps there just aren‘t any. I love the lyrics, “I Must Have Thought You‘d Always Be Around” and “I Don’t Know What Happens When People Die.” As a Christian, I know the deserving ones get their eternal rite of passage but I’m not quite sure who receives that sacred gift. And please make sure you give the ones you love constant reminders just how special they are because you or them will not always be around.
